HRM760: Applied epidemiological methods in secondary data analysis


 ‘Applied epidemiological methods in secondary data analysis’ is a graduate-level course open to students in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University. The purpose of the course is to apply core epidemiological concepts and develop practical skills in data management, data analysis/ building an epidemiologic model, power and sample size calculations, interpretation of analytic output and potential effect of biases such as confounding on model results, research protocol development, presentation, and write-up of findings suitable for publication, and knowledge transfer.
